What LeGaL Does

BECOME A MEMBER

Thanks for your interest in joining LeGaL. Becoming apart of this exciting organization gives you the opportunity to:

connect with interesting and insightful colleagues;
learn the latest nationwide developments concerning lesbians, gay men and HIV/AIDS - whether legislative, professional or judicial;
work on important projects in numerous subject areas, including the judiciary, continuing legal education, law student organizing & public interest lawyering; and
make new friends and contacts.

LeGaL members receive:

The LeGaL Report every month, which lists news, a calendar of events, contact numbers for LeGaL leaders, and usually a host of announcements, job openings and classified ads for services professionals need;
Lesbian/Gay Law Notes, LeGaL's renown publication edited by Professor Art Leonard of New York Law School;
the biannual membership directory that lists LeGaL members and their areas of specialization;
occasional directories of members interested in particular issues or practices;
access to LeGaL's Law Student Mentor Program, which matches students to practitioners with mutual professional interests; and
invitations to LeGaL's forums, annual dinner and annual conference.
