In addition, the LeGaL Foundation:

Runs two free walk-in clinics, the well-known weekly free walk-in clinic at the Lesbian and Gay Community Center and the Low-Income Law Clinic which focuses on public benefits, housing, family law and HIV/AIDS questions; Runs similar clinics in other boroughs; Hosts an annual all-day conference at an area law school; Hosts exciting fund raising events and gay pride week celebrations, and Publishes Lesbian/Gay Law Notes, the most comprehensive report of legal developments nationwide in lesbian, gay, transgender, and HIV/AIDS related issues.

Members of LeGaL are also involved in:

The newly formed West Village Trans-Legal Clinic             Name Change Project.   This walk-in clinic, staffed by             attorneys and community volunteers, provides             information and assistance to transgender-identified people interested in obtaining legal name changes.   The Project also offers information on how to go about changing your gender on identification documents.  The clinic operates on the first Monday of each month.
