LeGaL Names New Officers February 20, 2007 We are pleased to announce that new officers were elected at the February 20, 2007 meeting of the LeGaL and LeGaL Foundation Boards. Brad Snyder was elected President of both LeGaL and the LeGaL Foundation Boards. Brad is an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department and most recently served as 2nd Vice President on the LeGaL Board as well chairing the Walk-In Clinic committee of the LeGaL Foundation. Laurie Marin remains as First Vice President of LeGaL. Laurie is a Law Secretary to Judge Judge Bruce Scheckowitz and has served on the LeGaL and LeGaL Foundation Boards as well as chairing the Women's Committee of LeGaL. Natalie Chin was elected 2nd Vice President of the LeGaL Board (filling the position previously occupied by Brad Snyder). Natalie works at MFY Legal Services and previously served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department. She has been active volunteer at the Walk-In Legal Clinics. The LeGaL Foundation Board re-elected Hon. Charles D. McFaul as Secretary. Judge McFaul has served as Secretary of the Foundation Board since its inception in 1994. He is the Deputy Chief Administrative Law Judge for Office of Admnistrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) and was just appointed by Chief Judge Judith Kaye to serve on the Lawyers Assistance Trust Board of Trustees. The LeGaL Foundation Board elected Caprice Bellefleur as Treasurer. Caprice will continue in the position she assumed last June, after serving as Assistant Treasurer of the Foundation. She is actively involved with the New York State Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA) Coalition as Manhattan Regional Director. |
